Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering free bus services and 50 per cent discount on taxi fares during the 24-hour disinfection programme.

Meanwhile, the Metro and Tram services will not be available for the programme, which is initially set at two weeks.

Matar Al Tayer, General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the RTA, says the decision was made to help residents during emergencies or to enable workers in vital sectors reach their office premises.

The authority also urged the public to follow the guidelines to ensure that the crisis is overcome quickly.
