Authorities in Fujairah have clarified that smoke seen in the Emirate's industrial area was caused by an "accidental fire" during routine pipeline maintenance work.
In an update on social media platform X, Fujairah Government Media Office said Civil Defence teams immediately responded to the incident and brought the fire under control.
The authorities urged the public to refrain from spreading rumours and to obtain information only from official sources.
