Efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis have been discussed by international officials, including the Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President.
Dr. Anwar Gargash met with the United Nations Resident Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, David Gressly, and the US Special Envoy for Yemen, Tim Lenderking, to determine the latest developments with the aim of ending the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
Dr. Gargash highlighted the UAE's support for all endeavours in reaching a comprehensive political solution to ensure the establishment of stability and peace while strengthening prospects for prosperity and development in the country.
He also welcomed the formation of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, expressing hope it will contribute to advancing peace efforts through serious dialogue.
The meeting was attended by Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs.
