His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, spoke on Tuesday with Germany President Frank-Walter Steinmeier about regional developments in light of the escalating military actions and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability.
President Steinmeier affirmed Germany’s solidarity with the UAE in all the measures it takes to preserve its security, stability, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, expressing his condemnation of the Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, which constitute a violation of their sovereignty and international laws.
Steinmeier also expressed his thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and his appreciation for the attention that the UAE pays to German nationals and residents in it, and its keenness to ensure their safety and facilitate their procedures during the current circumstances that the country is going through.
Both sides stressed that containing the escalation is a top priority, calling for prioritizing serious dialogue and diplomatic means to resolve outstanding issues in the Middle East region, thus preventing further crises and preserving regional and international security and stability.
