The organising committee of the Global Media Congress, taking place in Abu Dhabi from November 26-28, has unveiled the agenda for the event’s opening day.
The Congress will kick off with a series of panel discussions focused on enhancing media performance and addressing the sector’s most pressing challenges. Experts, specialists and media leaders from around the world will gather to explore a range of key topics.
The first day will begin with a keynote session titled ‘What Keeps You Up at Night?’, which will tackle critical issues like media credibility, digital transformation, global security, urban leadership, and the ethical use of AI.
A standout session, ‘The Digital Generation: Navigating Youth and Media,’ will explore how digital media aligns with the aspirations of younger audiences and how communication strategies can adapt to fast-paced technological advancements.
Another highlight, ‘Emerging News Models and the Changing Media Landscape,’ will examine how digital innovations and social media are reshaping the way news is produced, distributed, and consumed. This session will also focus on how these changes improve media performance and responsiveness.
In ‘The AI-Powered Newsroom: Redefining Journalism,’ experts will discuss how AI is revolutionising newsroom workflows by automating tasks and analysing data. Ethical considerations, including transparency and minimizing bias, will also be a key focus.
The day will also feature a session called ‘Delivering News to the Goldfish Generation,’ which will explore innovative strategies for engaging a digital-native audience that demands immediacy and interactivity.
Additionally, ‘The Streaming Surge: What’s Next for Film and Digital Entertainment?’ will highlight the shift in content creation and distribution, from the rise of streaming services to advancements in immersive storytelling.
