Global Village hosts concert for 7,000 construction workers

Global Village hosted a concert for its 7,000 construction workers at Dubai Industrial City on Thursday. Officials say the show was a gesture of gratitude for the workers' efforts in building the family and cultural attraction. The four-hour event was headlined by Dubai-based band Rooh, who played a number of Bollywood and classic Indian and Pakistani tunes. The 20th edition of Global Village opens on November 3.
