His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has attended the official opening ceremony of the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed that the museum represents a significant addition to the cultural landscape of the UAE and strengthens the country's leadership in natural sciences and offers a rich learning environment for future generations.
The 35,000-square-metre museum, located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, is the largest of its kind in the Middle East, and officially opens its doors to the public on November 22.

It will feature permanent galleries, laboratories, an interactive theatre and immersive exhibits.
Sheikh Khaled had earlier toured the museum along with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister.
The tour included the museum’s dramatic atrium, where a world-first display of a herd of sauropod dinosaurs greets visitors, as well as its interactive galleries tracing 13.8 billion years of natural history, from the birth of the universe to life on Earth today.
The two leaders reviewed the museum’s education and sustainability features, designed to promote scientific thinking, biodiversity awareness and environmental responsibility.
Sheikh Hamdan said the museum enhances the country’s position as a global destination for knowledge and innovation.
The museum joins a growing cluster of major cultural institutions on Saadiyat Island, including Louvre Abu Dhabi and the soon-to-open Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
