His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the final day of the seventh UAE SWAT Challenge at the Al Ruwayyah training ground in Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed praised the strong performances of all participating teams, highlighting their professionalism and discipline.
He also commended Dubai Police for their excellence in hosting the event, saying it reflects the UAE’s ability to deliver world‑class competitions.
He said the challenge underscores the importance of preparing skilled personnel who can make quick decisions under pressure and work together as one team, something clearly demonstrated throughout the competition.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Dubai Police Commander‑in‑Chief Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri.
He watched the final events, including the Obstacle Challenge, and met leaders of international and women’s teams, praising the championship’s role in strengthening global cooperation among police and security forces.
This year’s UAE SWAT Challenge brought together 109 tactical and special‑unit teams from 48 countries — the largest event of its kind in the world.
The five main events, including Assault, Hostage Rescue, Officer Rescue, the Tower Challenge and the Obstacle Challenge, simulated real‑life scenarios requiring speed, precision, strength and teamwork.
Organisers say the challenge has grown into a global platform for sharing expertise, showcasing the latest crisis‑response technologies and enhancing the readiness of police forces worldwide.
