Shopping malls in Abu Dhabi are gearing up to restart operations but customers heading there will have to comply with a strict set of guidelines.
According to the Department of Economic Development, shoppers will have to go through thermal scanning systems and wear gloves and masks at all times.
Only card payments will be accepted by the outlets, while refunds and exchanges will not be permitted.
Changing-room facilities will remain closed, and trials of clothing, makeup or other products will not be allowed.
Shoppers are also being advised to bring their own bags from home as much as possible.
Customers will have to maintain a social distance of two metres, but entry will be denied to those over the age of 60.
Authorities have clarified that each of the malls will be publishing their own reopening schedules once they are ready to restart operations.
Malls will publish their own opening timetables and the community is advised to check with each mall for specifics.
