An historic commercial area in Deira has been transformed into a vibrant pedestrian tourist corridor.
The 'Old Municipal Street' has received a new lease of life following a major overhaul, which included installation of a new gate, lighting enhancements, street paving and the integration of heritage elements.
The project, which links various traditional markets along the creek, stretches from Al Ras to the Gold Market.
The initiative is part of Dubai Municipality's efforts to rejuvenate Deira and Bur Dubai’s historic areas, as well as heritage sites and markets across the emirate.
