H.H. Sheikh Abdullah holds series of meetings at UN General Assembly

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held a series of meetings with foreign ministers in New York during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The talks covered economic, trade and investment cooperation, as well as food security, education, healthcare, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and climate action.

Discussions also covered preparations for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, which the UAE will host with Senegal from December 8-10.

Sheikh Abdullah met representatives from Moldova, Venezuela, Uganda, Nigeria and Mexico, with talks also covering regional and international developments and issues on the UN General Assembly agenda.

Separate meetings were held with the foreign ministers of Cambodia, Panama and El Salvador, during which a number of agreements were signed.
Sheikh Abdullah witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the UAE and Cambodia, as well as an agreement on academic cooperation between the foreign ministries of the UAE and Panama.

His meeting with El Salvador's Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill Tinoco also saw agreements signed on avoiding double taxation and the promotion and protection of investments.

A further memorandum of understanding was signed between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and El Salvador's Diplomatic Institute.
Sheikh Abdullah said the UAE was seeking to expand cooperation with international partners and strengthen dialogue to support sustainable development.
