UAE public sector leaders need to learn how to invest in human capital to keep ahead of the curve. That’s the message from influential business author Professor Chris Roebuck. The expert on developing entrepreneurial leadership will be appearing at the upcoming Government Human Resources Summit in Abu Dhabi. The event is scheduled to take place October 27 to 29 at the Ritz Carlton, Abu Dhabi.Commenting on the role of managers, Professor Roebuck said: “Everything in an organisation follows from leadership. Leaders outline strategy and objectives, inspire people to give their best or not bother, influence people to stay and champion the company or leave, and promote or stifle innovation.” The 3rd Annual Summit comes as government HR departments in the UAE are being encouraged to adopt effective and innovative staff management, to keep their organisations moving forward. The UAE Government HR Summit is recognised as the biggest HR event for Government & public sector in the Middle East & North African (MENA) region.
