The International Charity Organisation is distributing 7,500 iftar meals daily across the UAE throughout Ramadan, aiming to support underprivileged families and ease the burden on low-income workers.
The organisation explained that the meals will be distributed in various areas, including Ramadan tents, workers’ housing, and homes, with generous support from charitable people in the UAE, while the Authority’s work teams participate in the distribution process, along with volunteers from all the Emirates of the country.
The Secretary-General of the Authority, Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, stressed that this initiative comes within the “What You Love 2025” campaign, which reflects the spirit of social solidarity during the holy month. "What distinguishes it is the combined efforts of the sons and daughters of the Emirates, including benefactors, governmental entities, and private companies, as everyone competes in the fields of charity to reflect a refined image of a great nation the size of the Emirates."
Al Khaja said that the Authority’s teams also work in 23 countries, working day and night to help the neediest families, as they seek to implement hundreds of projects and initiatives on a daily basis, especially in Africa, including breaking the fast in Muslim villages, building mosques, digging wells, and building Quran memorisation centers, in addition to distributing zakat money and other charitable projects such as caring for orphans, clothing the poor, and others.
