The UAE's Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mohammed Al Gergawi has joined the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Leadership Council.
He is the only member from the Middle East and North Africa region.
The council includes 13 prominent global figures who play a key role in devising the WEF's strategy, developing policies and strengthening international cooperation.
Al Gergawi stressed that the UAE's participation in the World Economic Forum over more than 20 years reflects the pioneering role of the country, which was able to consolidate its position as a global hub for positive future change.
The Forum concluded its annual meetings for 2023, in Davos, on Thursday, by holding the first meeting of the WEF Leadership Council.
