Eid Al Fitr this year will either fall on Saturday, May 23 or Sunday, May 24.
According to the UAE moon-sighting committee, Eid will depend on whether Ramadan will last for 29 or 30 days this year.
The committee will be meeting remotely on Friday, May 22, after Maghrib prayers to look for the moon on day 29 of the holy month.
Eid will immediately begin once the moon has been spotted, however, if it is not seen then the holiday will be celebrated the next day.
