Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, in partnership with Etihad Rail, has opened a 1.8 km-long flyover to improve traffic flow on Al Yalayis Street and around Dubai Investments Park (DIP).
The signal-controlled bridge has three lanes, plus slip roads for smoother access to and from Sheikh Zayed Road.
It’s designed to ease congestion and boost road safety, while also allowing Etihad Rail trains to run smoothly along the street’s central median, without disrupting vehicle traffic.
The project is part of wider efforts to enhance the UAE’s transport network, supporting both passenger and freight rail services.
The flyover also marks strong collaboration between the RTA and Etihad Rail to deliver integrated, sustainable transport solutions.
Looking ahead, the bridge will be extended toward Jumeirah Golf Estates with plans for additional lanes to improve connectivity in the area.
