One person was killed and 12 others were injured in three separate traffic accidents on Wednesday.
According to Dubai Police, a woman was killed while trying to cross Al Khail Road from an undesignated area.
A bus crashed into a light vehicle, leaving 10 people injured in the second accident that took place in Al Karama tunnel.
The third accident, involving two light vehicles, occurred on Umm Suqeim Road, opposite Dubai Hills. "The accident was due to failure to abide by lane discipline, and it resulted in two minor and mild injuries," said Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the Dubai Traffic Police.
The official once again highlighted the dangers of speeding, jaywalking, improper overtaking and being distracted while driving.
