One person has died and eight others were injured in a traffic accident involving a 19-vehicle pileup in Abu Dhabi’s Al Maqatara area today.
According to Abu Dhabi Police, the accident took place after motorists failed to take into account the foggy weather conditions, which resulted in poor visibility this morning.
Officials revealed that the vehicles failed to leave an adequate distance between one another, causing a series of collisions.
Authorities are, once again, reminding motorists to follow speed limits, avoid any distractions while driving and to check the weather forecast before leaving the house.
