The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow weather alert for parts of the UAE, urging drivers to exercise caution on the road.
Rain of varying intensity has been forecast until at least 1:00 pm on Thursday, with a chance of heavy rain with lightning and thunder in the southeastern parts.
The UAE Weather Bureau also cautioned residents to stay away from areas at risk of flash flooding.
Motorists are urged to follow traffic regulations and follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
