The UAE’s Ministry of Education has announced that public school students will switch to remote learning on Fridays during the holy month of Ramadan, marking the second consecutive year of the initiative.
The move is part of the ‘Ramadan with Family’ programme, designed to give students more time at home, strengthen Ramadan values, and encourage family‑based activities.
The Ministry clarified that teaching staff will continue to work from schools on Fridays.
Parents who prefer their children to attend classes on campus may do so, but they will need to arrange their own transportation.
