Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has approved an expansion of areas where new driver training institutes and branches can be licensed, helping bring services closer to residents in growing communities across the emirate.
The move is part of the RTA’s efforts to keep pace with Dubai’s rapid urban growth and make driver training more accessible, while also creating new investment opportunities in the sector.
New locations now eligible for driver training centres include Wadi Al Safa, Jebel Ali, Mushrif, Al Maktoum City and Madinat Hind.
The RTA invites accredited institutes and prospective investors to submit applications to open branches in accordance with the approved regulatory standards and requirements.
Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of the RTA’s Licensing Agency, says the expansion will reduce the need for long journeys to access training services and support Dubai’s goal of making mobility easier and safer for everyone.
He added that the RTA will support new investors and encourage greater private-sector participation, helping improve driver skills, traffic awareness and overall road safety across the emirate.
#RTA has approved an expansion of the areas eligible for licensing new institutes and branches to provide driver training services across the emirate. The move aims to enhance service reach and extend access to more of Dubai’s new residential communities.
