Sharjah to intensify inspections on supermakets and stores

WAM

Officials in Sharjah will be intensifying their inspection campaigns in supermarkets and stores throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

According to the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), the move is to ensure that consumers’ rights are protected.

The SEDD will require all stores to provide a product price list in order to guarantee that sellers are not illegally hiking prices of certain items.

Inspectors will also ensure that shop owners are not violating any rules or regulations and are abiding by health and safety guidelines as well.
