His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the division of the city of Khor Fakkan into four districts.
The city will be divided into Khor Fakkan city, Al Aweinat, Al Sayh, and Al Sabihiya, the Sharjah ruler announced.
In a phone interview via the "Direct Line" programme, the Sharjah ruler also shared plans to establish hospitals in Kalba, Khor Fakkan, and Dibba Al Hisn.
The decision was made to address the congestion at hospitals and clinics in Kalba. "We wanted to address this matter quickly and contacted the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and they responded to meet all the needs," he said.
The University Hospital in Al Madam, currently under construction, will be studied during the development of these hospitals.
His Highness added that once a budget is established for the new hospitals, it will take about five to six months to complete.
