Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has discussed strengthening cooperation between the UAE and the US with Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the Board of Peace meeting in Washington.
Both sides reviewed prospects for expanding partnerships across various sectors, including the economy, trade, artificial intelligence and advanced technology.
They also looked at enhancing joint cooperation within the framework of the Board of Peace to support international efforts aimed at achieving regional security and stability.
The two diplomats addressed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need to intensify international efforts and ensure the sustained delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
Sheikh Abdullah stated that the "UAE’s joining of the Board of Peace reflects its firm commitment to supporting international initiatives that enhance prospects for peace and reinforce regional stability".
He also reviewed the tragic developments in Sudan's civil war with Rubio, looking at ways to bolster regional and international efforts to secure an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and support relief aid for the Sudanese people.

The two sides discussed the economic partnership between the two countries, building upon the UAE’s pledge to invest $1.4 trillion in the US over the next 10 years. The investment, announced in March 2025, aimed to increase existing collaborations between both nations in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, energy, and manufacturing, the White House said in a statement.
The UAE diplomat also met his Vietnamese counterpart, Bui Thanh Son, and looked at ways to boost collaboration in key areas.
