Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has welcomed the signing of a framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon during a call with Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam.
During the call, Sheikh Abdullah underscored the UAE's unwavering support for Lebanon's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for all that contributes to the prosperity and well-being of its people.
The UAE minister also commended the efforts of the Lebanese and Israeli governments, and praised the role of the United States in mediating an agreement that contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
Sheikh Abdullah and Dr. Salam also reviewed regional developments and the situation in Lebanon.
The two sides also discussed the close fraternal relations and ways to further strengthen them.
