The sixth Emirati humanitarian aid ship has set sail for Gaza, carrying 5,800 tonnes of essential supplies.
The aid will be delivered to Gaza via Egypt’s Arish city as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, reinforcing the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.
The ship is transporting food, shelter materials and medical items. These donations have been made possible through contributions from the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society, and the Sharjah Charity International..
This latest shipment coincides with the largest phase of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, which is focused on providing urgent relief in Gaza following the declaration of a truce.
As part of the operation, the UAE has set up field hospitals, a floating hospital, automated bakeries, and desalination plants, as well as supporting community kitchens and existing bakeries.
In addition, humanitarian airdrops have successfully delivered 3,700 tonnes of relief to hard-to-reach areas in Gaza, and over 700 tonnes of medical supplies have been sent.
