A sixth Emirati aid ship intended for the Gaza Strip arrived in Egypt's Al Arish on Thursday ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, carrying the largest quantity of cargo since the launch of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
The aid was sent from the "Mother of the Emirates," Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
The ship was received at the port of Al Arish by a delegation including Her Excellency Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, His Excellency Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, and Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai.
Her Excellency Maitha Al Shamsi and the delegation visited the Emirati floating hospital in the city of Al Arish, which provides services to injured or sick Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
The ship set sail from Hamriyah Port in Dubai on January 20, carrying 5,800 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, food, shelter materials and medical supplies.
The Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity Association contributed to the shipment's contents.
