Some government employees will be working remotely for the time being in Dubai.
That's according to an announcement made by the Government of Dubai in a bid to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
This will apply to pregnant women, people of determination and elderly employees.
Mothers with children in the ninth grade or below will be given flexible working hours and may work remotely if necessary.
In a video posted on Twitter, the government released a list of precautionary measures for government entities to follow, which includes avoiding business trips that are not urgent, facilitating virtual meetings to avoid contact and providing employees and customers with proper methods of sanitisation.
Meanwhile, offices, facilities and government centres will be thoroughly sterilised by a team of experts to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
Officials have also advised customers to carry out transactions and submit documents via the different government smart applications.
