Traffic is being redirected from Sheikh Zayed Road to Financial Centre Road in both directions this morning.
That's according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which clarified that this is due to 'rain-water pools' at the Dubai Mall Bridge.
They also advised motorists driving towards Sharjah to avoid Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road near the National Paint Bridge.
The transport authority has requested that drivers use Tripoli Street and Al Khawaneej Street towards Emirates Road as alternatives.

Residents are being reminded to be cautious on the road, use hazard lights only when necessary and to avoid tailgating during the unstable weather conditions.
