The UAE has added 21 individuals and entities linked to Hezbollah to its local terrorist list as part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism financing and extremist activities.
Under a Cabinet resolution, authorities designated 16 individuals and five entities accused of supporting terrorism.
The move is aimed at disrupting networks involved in financing terrorist activities, both directly and indirectly.
The resolution also requires regulatory authorities to identify and act against any financial or commercial ties connected to those listed, including freezing assets within 24 hours.
The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism and extremism in all forms, while continuing efforts to monitor suspicious financial channels and prevent cross-border terrorist financing in support of regional and international security.
