The UAE has expressed full solidarity with Bahrain and its support for measures taken by security authorities to arrest 15 operatives acting on directives from agents linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed the UAE’s backing for Bahrain’s efforts to protect its security, sovereignty and stability, and to safeguard the well-being of its citizens and residents.
He praised the efficiency and vigilance of Bahrain’s security services in uncovering the group’s activities and taking legal action.
Sheikh Abdullah also reiterated the UAE’s firm rejection of terrorism and any organisations linked to foreign agendas, stressing the importance of regional and international cooperation to counter such threats.
He added that Bahrain’s security is an integral part of Gulf security, reaffirming the UAE’s continued support for all measures taken to maintain the Kingdom's stability and protect its national achievements.
