UAE condemns terrorist attack in Baghdad

The UAE has condemned the terrorist attack on the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the UAE rejects all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to destabilise the security and stability of the region.

On Sunday night, eight rockets were fired at the heavily fortified area, damaging several cars and buildings at the Qadisiya residential neighbourhood near the US Embassy.

No injuries or casualties were reported at the US Embassy but at least one Iraqi soldier suffered injuries when a rocket landed near a security checkpoint.
