Saturday, January 1, 2022 will be an official paid holiday for private sector employees in the UAE.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources had earlier announced that January 1 would be a day off for the public sector as well with work resuming on Monday, January 3 as the country transitions into a four-and-a-half-day workweek.
