The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation shut down 230 social media accounts in 2025 for illegally promoting domestic worker recruitment services.
The accounts were found operating without licences and had no connection to authorised recruitment offices — a clear violation of the Domestic Workers Law.
Officials say they continue to closely monitor the sector through field inspections and digital tracking to protect the rights of all parties and ensure reliable services for families.
Residents are urged to deal only with licensed recruitment offices and to report any suspicious ads or unlicensed services by calling 600‑590000 or by checking the approved list on mohre.gov.ae.
The Ministry thanked the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority for helping block the illegal accounts, saying the joint effort strengthens action against such violations.
It also warned that using unlicensed recruitment services can carry serious risks, including loss of legal rights and the lack of essential procedures such as medical tests and background checks.
Licensed offices, it added, follow clear standards, approved pricing and provide trained workers prepared to serve families safely and professionally.
