The UAE has announced the formation of a national committee to document Iranian acts of aggression and the resulting human, material and economic damages affecting the country, its citizens, residents and visitors.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has issued Resolution No. (4) of 2026 concerning the formation of the National Committee for Documenting Acts of Aggression, International Crimes and Resulting Damages.
Chaired by the UAE Attorney General, the committee will help create a comprehensive national record based on reliable evidence.
It brings together representatives from key federal ministries and local entities, ensuring coordination between judicial, security, technical and economic authorities to strengthen the accuracy and scope of documentation efforts.
The committee is also authorized to work with national and international experts while adhering to the UAE Constitution, applicable laws and internationally recognized standards for documenting international crimes.
Its mandate includes documenting attacks and military incidents linked to the aggression, assessing casualties and damages, and collecting evidence, forensic findings and technical reports in accordance with recognized legal standards and chain-of-custody procedures.
A technical secretariat will support the committee through a secure central database designed to preserve and classify evidence using advanced systems that protect data integrity and prevent tampering.
The resolution underscores the UAE’s commitment to the rule of law, the protection of rights and accountability, while supporting the country’s legal efforts at both the national and international levels through a comprehensive evidence-based documentation file.
