The UAE's visa exemption scheme for Indian nationals holding residency in the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom, has now been expanded to include those holding tourist visas from these regions.
These travellers are allowed to extend their stay after paying the required fees, provided their visa and passport remain valid for at least six months.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICA), emphasised that this initiative is part of the UAE’s strategic partnership with India, aimed at boosting economic ties and enhancing mutual trade.
As per the ICA's fee schedule, the cost for a 14-day entry visa for Indian citizens holding valid visas or green cards from the US, the EU or the UK is set at AED 100. An extension for another 14 days will cost AED 250, while a 60-day visa is priced at AED 250.
