The UAE has strongly condemned an Iranian attack targeting buildings in Bahrain that house personnel from the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces taking part in the GCC’s Unified Naval Operations Centre.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack is a blatant violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the wider region.
The UAE expressed full solidarity with Bahrain and Qatar, reaffirming its support for measures to safeguard the security of GCC states and calling for an immediate halt to escalation in line with international law and the UN Charter.
