Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, discussed regional developments and the crisis in Gaza.
The two sides deliberated on enhancing the efforts of the international community to reach a sustainable ceasefire to allow the safe delivery of relief and medical aid to the people of Gaza at an accelerated pace.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE's support for all regional and international efforts to reach a sustainable ceasefire.
Sheikh Abdullah further stressed that the difficult humanitarian conditions suffered by the Palestinian people require urgent action from all parties of the international community to enhance the humanitarian response to meet the needs of civilians and alleviate their suffering.
