His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held phone calls with several global counterparts to discuss the repercussions of Iran’s missile attacks against the UAE and other countries in the region.
The discussions with the foreign ministers of Kuwait, India and South Sudan focused on the impact of the attacks on regional security and stability, as well as their broader implications for the global economy and energy markets.
The ministers strongly condemned the unprovoked attacks, calling them a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter, and a direct threat to the sovereignty and security of states.
They reaffirmed the right of affected countries to take necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, in line with international law.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by friendly countries towards the UAE.
The calls also underscored the importance of strengthening international cooperation to safeguard regional security and advance sustainable stability and development across the region.
