The UAE has expressed its sincere condolences to the governments of Tunisia and Greece after wildfires left several people dead and wounded.
In a statement, UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sympathy to the nations, the affected citizens and wished the victims a speedy recovery.
Hundreds have been evacuated from Tunisia’s Tabarka after wildfires ravaged the border city and destroyed several property.
In Greece, authorities evacuated more than 20,000 people in recent days from homes and resorts in the south of the holiday island of Rhodes.
Meanwhile, close to 3,000 tourists had returned home by plane as of Tuesday, according to figures from the Transport Ministry, and tour operators have cancelled upcoming trips.
