The UAE has joined Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt in strongly condemning the ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement, the Foreign Ministers of the eight nations denounced the targeting of healthcare facilities, civilian infrastructure and the killing of civilians.
They added that the continued attacks are a clear violation of the comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict and undermines US President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan.
These attacks, the ministers added, could "threaten to derail the political process, reignite the cycle of escalation, and further deepen the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip".
They reiterated the need to protect civilian lives, safeguard healthcare facilities and workers and ensure the unhindered delivery of vital humanitarian aid.
The ministers affirmed that the attacks in Gaza can't be viewed in isolation from the targeting of settlers in the Occupied West Bank, and shows a systematic effort to undermine the foundations of the two-State solution, and marginalise the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The ministers also renewed their call to the UN Security Council to take effective measures to compel Israel to fulfill its obligations under the international laws and to hold the attackers accountable.
They further rejected any attempts to impose Israeli sovereignty and forcibly displace the Palestinians from their land.
