His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, on regional developments and security challenges.
The meeting focused on recent tensions in the region, including Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other countries, and the wider impact on global trade routes, energy supplies and international stability.
The two ministers strongly condemned the attacks, calling them a violation of national sovereignty and international law.
Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures taken to protect its security and the safety of residents and visitors.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations and expressing the UAE’s solidarity with Jordan in addressing regional threats.
The talks also touched on the recent announcement by US President Donald Trump of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, with both sides stressing the need for coordinated international efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability.
Developments in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem were also discussed, with an emphasis on strengthening humanitarian support for civilians.
