UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Rishi Sunak for being chosen as the new Prime Minister of the UK.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sheikh Mohamed said he looked forward to building on strong UAE-UK ties.
Congratulations to Rishi Sunak on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The UAE and UK share a deeply-rooted history of friendship and partnership, and I look forward to building on our strong ties to benefit our two nations and our people.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has also dispatched a similar message of congratulations to Sunak.
Sunak has been officially announced as Britain's Prime Minister after meeting King Charles at Buckingham Palace.
He will face his first test as Tory leader when he takes part in his first Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday.
The new PM announced his top team on Tuesday, which includes Dominic Raab as his deputy and Suella Braverman returning as home secretary.
