The UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan and Dubai's rulers have extended their congratulations on the occasion of Hijri New Year.
Taking to Twitter, the UAE President said "I extend my warmest congratulations to the people of the UAE and to Muslims everywhere. We pray to God that the new year is filled with progress and stability, and that it brings a renewed commitment to peace and harmony around the world."

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai also offered his congratulations on the occasion.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance tweeted that at New Year "we are reminded of the values of tolerance & peace".

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council said the Hijri New Year "symbolises new beginnings and possibilities".
On the advent of the Hijri New Year, which symbolises new beginnings and possibilities, may Allah graciously bless the leadership and people of the UAE, and all Arab and Islamic nations. May this New Year bring peace and prosperity to the world.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, also dispatched a congratulatory message to kings, presidents, emirs and prime ministers of the Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion.
The public and private sector holiday for the Hijri New Year will fall on Friday, July 21.
