The UAE has praised Saudi Arabia for hosting talks between the United States and Ukraine and expressed hope for a comprehensive solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and expressed hope that the talks will enable a cessation of suffering, prevent further loss of life, and put an end to the humanitarian crisis.
The Ministry called for committing to peace and enhancing diplomatic efforts to achieve regional stability, highlighting the importance of peaceful dialogue as the only way to resolve conflicts.
Ukraine agreed to accept an immediate 30-day ceasefire in the conflict with Russia during talks with US officials in Saudi Arabia, the countries said in a joint statement.
The Kremlin said on Wednesday it would review details from Washington about the ceasefire proposal in Ukraine before responding, while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio hoped a deal would be struck within days.
