UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been accorded an official reception at Berlin's historic lakeside Villa Borsig by German leader Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
It included a guard of honour welcome and a performance of the national anthems of the two countries.
Sheikh Mohamed also met with a number of German ministers and senior officials during the reception.
His Highness signed the Villa's VIP guestbook and expressed hope of further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Steinmeier also greeted the high-level UAE delegation accompanying the President.
Sheikh Mohamed is on a two-day state visit to Germany, his first since taking office.
