UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The talks took place at the Prime Minister’s Residence during Sheikh Mohamed’s working visit to India.
At the start of the meeting, the UAE President congratulated Modi ahead of India’s Republic Day on January 26 and wished the Indian people continued progress and prosperity.
The two leaders reviewed the strong and growing ties between the UAE and India, within the framework of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key areas including the economy, investment, space, technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and food security.
Both sides stressed the importance of ongoing dialogue and regular exchanges, highlighting their shared commitment to deepening cooperation at all levels.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest, and emphasised the value of the UAE‑India partnership in supporting global development, stability and prosperity through multilateral cooperation.
Sheikh Mohamed noted that both countries share a common vision to seize new opportunities, particularly in technology and artificial intelligence, to build a more prosperous future for their people.
He also reaffirmed the UAE’s support for peaceful solutions in South Asia through dialogue and diplomacy, and wished Modi success as India prepares to assume the BRICS chairmanship in 2026.
His Highness also wished success for next month’s India AI Impact Summit, expressing hope that it will yield outcomes that reinforce the role of artificial intelligence in advancing global development.
