UAE President congratulates Italian PM on longest-serving government

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for running the longest-serving government in Italy through her "distinguished leadership".

In a post on social media platform X, His Highness praised the Italian leaders' effective contribution to their country's "continued development while strengthening the prosperity of its people".

He added that the UAE remains committed to deepening its strategic partnership with Italy following their "longstanding ties of cooperation and friendship".

The two leaders had previously held bilateral talks during Meloni's visit to Abu Dhabi in April.
