The UAE has expressed its full support for any measures taken by Syrian authorities to dismantle terrorist cells affiliated with the Da'esh organisation that were involved in acts of assassination, robbery, and financing the group.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) commended the authorities' efforts in breaking apart the cells, with the operation including the arrest of one of the group's senior leaders, along with a number of its members.
The ministry reaffirmed the UAE's categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism, alongside any acts that seek to undermine the security and stability of states.
It emphasised the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation to confront and counter such threats.
