The UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has slashed the charges for the early termination of mobile phone contracts.
Users will now only have to pay one month's rental fee for cancellations, while earlier the charges were based on the number of months remaining on the agreement.
The amendment is currently applicable only on new subscriptions, but it will soon be extended to existing contracts as well.
